Location and Venue
The 2009 Annual Meeting of the Colorado/Wyoming Chapter of the American Fisheries Society will be held in Loveland, Colorado at The First National Bank East Exhibition Hall, February 23-26, 2009. The First National Bank Exhibition Hall is located at the Ranch – Larimer County Fairgrounds and next to the Budweiser Event Center.
A block of rooms have been set aside for this meeting at the Holiday Day Inn Express (I-25 and Crossroads Blvd) for $85/night (which is below the FY09 Federal per diem rate). Government rate rooms will be released February 6th, so make your reservations fast to ensure this special rate! Regular Meeting
A half day plenary session focusing on climate change will launch the meeting on Tuesday, February 24 at 8:00 am until 12:00 pm. Contributed papers, preferably theme related, will follow in the afternoon. An evening social will occur on Tuesday, February 24 at 6:00 pm. Contributed papers will continue on Wednesday, February 25. The Colorado-Wyoming Annual Business Meeting luncheon with follow the morning session of contributed papers on Wednesday, February 25. The banquet and raffle will conclude Wednesday’s activities.
Continuing Education Workshop
The 2009 Continuing Education Workshop is entitled, "Aquatic Macroinvertebrate Identification, Ecology and Metrics Useful in Fishery Management." This will be a full-day workshop taught on February 26th by Dr. Boris Kondratieff, Professor, Colorado State University. This workshop will take place in conjunction with the annual meeting in Loveland. Cost is $35 for early registration, $50 for late registration.
